I am a true native of Loudoun County. Other than four years at Radford University, I have lived in Loudoun County my entire life. After having my children, I was a stay-at-home mom for eight years. As much as I loved being home with my kids, it was time to make a change. While the kids were at school, I began to volunteer with the Loudoun Abused Women's Shelter. It turned into a wonderful career opportunity. I have been employed with the agency for the last eight and a half years, working with survivors of domestic and sexual violence. I am currently the director of the shelter services. I have a passion for working with people and do so with compassion and empathy.
