Originally settled in 1764 as the “Village of Purcell’s Store,” the Town of Purcellville is now home to nearly 7,000 residents. Even with the tremendous population and business growth in the area, it retains it’s small town charm and feel.
The vibrant historic downtown area is home to Magnolia’s Restaurant (located within an original mill building), the restored train station that once served the Washington & Old Dominion Rail Line (now a walking/hiking/biking trail), shops, boutiques, and other restaurants.
Stately Victorian homes line Main Street, and newer neighborhoods have been constructed to echo that traditional architecture.
