Village Case

111 0764 300x225 Village CaseThe Village Case neo-traditional community opened in 2004, with  Michael Harris Homes and Patowmack Homes as the original builders.  The neighborhood is graced by homes with big front porches set close to brick sidewalks, detached garages behind the homes, and architectural details echoing the historic districts of Loudoun’s towns.

Five years after the first houses were built, a  new crop of builders stepped in to finish constructing homes on the land which was once Case Farm. Carrington Homes is currently offering several home types on both large and small lots near the rear of the neighborhood.

The neighborhood has several homes that front to Maple Avenue, and is located near Blue Ridge Middle School. An open park area in the center of the neighborhood was originally to be bordered by smaller shops with living space above, though those plans have apparently been set aside for now.

Who Wants to be First in the Hamlet at Wulf Crest?

In February I wrote about the Hamlet at Wulf Crest in Leesburg, a new community just south of town by Steuart Kret Homes. Yesterday I had a chance to stop by and take a look at  how things are shaping up. It was my first opportunity to see this builder in action, and I can assure you [...]

Traffic Jams at Sycolin Road End June 8th

We’ve know about it for awhile, but as I was driving home from softball practice last night it was impossible to miss the signs. One of Leesburg‘s biggest rush hour traffic jams starts getting relief this Saturday, as the light at Sycolin Road and Route 7 is being replaced by a flyover. The VA Department [...]

    Sizzling Start to Summer Sales

Summer is almost here and our market tends to take a one week breather as the school year ends. It’s a good time to take a look at what has been going on over the last month and see how that compares to last year. Based on what my client’s have experienced this spring, the [...]

    Don’t Have a Backyard Pool?

This isn’t Texas, so most of us don’t have our own backyard pool. We do have a two great community pools in Lovettsville and Purcellville  (Franklin Park), and this year for the first time you can purchase a family pass for the season. We snagged this from the Loudoun County Parks and Recreation facebook page: [...]

Golf Community Spotlight on Stoneleigh G&CC

Stoneleigh Golf & Country Club, in Round Hill, has a little more history than most clubs in LoCo. The original manor house was built by the James family in 1852, renowned stone masons of Loudoun County. Many original structures still stand, including the barn and Founder’s Cottage. During World War I, William E. Dodd, the US [...]

LoCo Photo: Let There be Lights!

This may look like an ordinary photo, but to parents of Western Loudoun ball players it’s a sight for sore eyes. Including [...]
