When we stopped by Purcellville Gateway to get dinner at Jersey Mike’s last Friday (along with everyone else in town), I took a peek inside the former Cole Farm barn. Construction is moving along for IJ CANNS American Grille, which is scheduled to open in late March.
After speaking with one of the owners, we learned this will be their second location (the first is in Winchester). The menu features seafood, steaks, burgers, pizza, and sandwiches, in addition to a full bar, coffee and desserts (visit their website to see the full menu). Patio seating will be available, and they are hoping to get approval for bike racks to encourage cyclists to stop in.
The Zarou brothers, Charles, Wael, and Nael, have been operating restaurants in the northern Virginia and DC area for over 40 years, including a couple of Manhattan Deli’s in downtown Washington. We haven’t met yet, but I know this restauranteurs family well from my days at Westpark Golf Club. If they are anything like their cousins at Manhattan Pizza or Shenanigans in Leesburg, Purcellville is in for a treat.
Update: Stopped by June 5th and saw the now hiring sign. The owners said they are targeting the end of this month for a opening. As soon as I have an exact date I will post it here.
