Here are this week’s news, notes, and nuggets:
- Here come the Feds?: In an effort to attract the FBI’s new headquarters, the Loudoun County Department of Economic Development submitted a proposal with 8 different sites. This would be a coup for the county, and a boost for the real estate market as 1100 employees may need to find a new home.
- Gum Spring Library opens: Not much fanfare, but by the pictures this new library in Stone Ridge looks like a place I could read a book.
- Viking athletes headed to College: Five Loudoun Valley Seniors were honored Wednesday as they move to the next level. Three will play women’s soccer, one men’s soccer, and one men’s volleyball. Good luck!
- VHSL State BBall Championships this weekend: In the boys division, Loudoun Valley and Potomac Falls play tomorrow in separate divisions, both having a shot at a title. For the girls, Woodgrove and Loudoun County are in the same division so only one can come home a champ.
It’s March, spring is around the corner. Have a great weekend!
