Finally, a hot breakfast!

My husband is a fantastic breakfast cook (when he has time) but we enjoy going out to grab breakfast together on occasion.  Going out for breakfast has not been the easiest thing to do in western Loudoun, but thankfully that problem has been solved. This morning, I had a great breakfast at Mom’s Place on Maple Avenue in Purcellville. Located in the spot formerly occupied by Mario’s Restaurante, this cozy joint serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner…the way that Mom makes it.

The breakfast menu is simple and straightforward, and the coffee is hot and strong. Both my husband and I were pleased with our choices, although we were a little disappointed that biscuits weren’t on the menu. (We are both big biscuits and sausage gravy fans.)  The sign on the table advertised this week’s dinner specials, broken down by day, that included liver and onions one night, pork chops on another, and fried chicken on Saturday night. Sorry that I didn’t remember to take a photo of the wonderful food, but I was so hungry and it smelled so good.. 😉

The decor is nothing fancy, but the atmosphere and the service were warm and friendly. We could use a few more places like this in Loudoun! We’ll be back, for sure

Cheers,

Heather
