Snapped this last night in Purcellville. Al’s Pizza closed to make way for a Walgreens (literally across the street from the brand new Rite-Aid) but I heard that may not be what is going in there. I’m all for improving the look of that shopping center, but seeing the rubble of a favorite pizza joint still made me sad.

Ahhhh! So weird…we moved away in May, and for some reason, we thought it’d never happen!
I’m interested to see what’s next, but it’s sad too…
‘Progress’ quite often takes away from the community far more than it actually gives. Being from the East Coast, I know firsthand just how much a pizza joint can mean to those who frequent it. Aww, how I miss good ol’ NY style pizza.

I did not know that. When we were thinking about moving to Purcellville, Al’s was the first meal we had here. Good memories!
