Lake Point

The Scoop:

The Lake Point neighborhood sits next to Sleeter Lake as you come into the town of Round Hill, with scenic views and a variety of single family home floor plans and types. The neighborhood contains 303 single family homes, all built between 2004 and 2016. Because there were several different builders that contributed to the community, you’ll find everything from small lot sizes with floor plans that maximize square footage to more traditional center hall colonial homes. Some of the homes have detached garages accessible from alleyways, while others have traditional front load garages with driveways. The wide range of home sizes and types as opens up a price range typically between the high $400s up to nearly $700,000 with lake views. Lot sizes range from just over a tenth of an acre to nearly a half an acre.

While the community doesn’t have a ton of traditional amenities, there is common area in the front of the neighborhood with a gazebo and open space, walking trails, and a playground. Residents can access Sleeter Lake for canoeing or kayaking and fishing. Franklin Park, with a public pool, recreational fields, disc golf, and arts center is just a mile away.  There are now several restaurant options in Round Hill, our favorite being More Better Beer, a German-styled beer hall with amazing food located next to Mom’s Apple Pie. Round Hill is also home to Stoneleigh Golf Club, one of the toughest and most picturesque golf options in Loudoun.

What We Like:

Living in Loudoun County, with few exceptions, does not give you lake or water views and activities. Lake Point is one of a handful of neighborhoods with lake access, and several of the homes have gorgeous lake views. Also, being in close proximity to Franklin Park means you can watch the July 4th fireworks display from your own yard.  The town of Round Hill is a special place, having retained the small community feel in the midst of Loudoun County’s explosive growth. Lake Point is a great compromise on small town living with an established neighborhood lifestyle.
