Potomac Station

Potomac Station neighborhood

The Scoop

Potomac Station is a neighborhood of over 1,400 single family homes and townhomes on the eastern side of Leesburg. The first homes were constructed in 1997, and the neighborhood has grown into a vibrant community with playgrounds, walking/hiking/biking trails, two tennis courts, a basketball court, outdoor pool, and clubhouse. You can visit the website for the neighborhood association here, although their Facebook page seems to have more recent updats.

The Marketplace at Potomac Station, located within the community, is anchored by Best Buy and Giant Food, and has numerous sit down and fast service restaurant options. The Villages at Leesburg shopping center is across Route 7, and is home to Wegmans and numerous restaurants and shopping options.

Yes, this community was part of the massive boom of housing that hit Loudoun County in the early 2000’s and has a ton of homes with matching floorplans and front facades (see also Tavistock Farms, Stratford, Kincaid Forest, Potomac Crossing, etc). However, Potomac Station has arguably the best location: easy commuting route, wide variety of home types, simple access to downtown Leesburg, and surrounding shopping and restaurant options. Because of the sheer number of homes, you’re likely to find some options that are the right combination of size, layout, and neighborhood placement.

Some of our closest friends live here, and we’ve witnessed first hand the friendliness of the community. That kind of close knit spirit isn’t something you find everywhere.
