Woodlea Manor
The Scoop:
Woodlea Manor was established in 1989 and immediately became a highly sought after neighborhood in Leesburg. The community is located off of Route 15 just south of town, just beyond the Greenway Farms neighborhood. Construction of the 467 single family home development was completed in 1997, with NV Homes, Winchester Homes, and Pulte Homes doing the lion’s share of the work. Homes are situated on lots approximately .25 acre in size and typically offer at least four bedrooms with a center hall colonial design. The cedar shingle roofs, accented by wide streets and mature trees, give a warm feel to the neighborhood. Amenities include two tennis courts, two pickleball courts, an Olympic size outdoor pool, a wading pool, and a clubhouse. Several streets overlook holes 4, 5, and 6 of the now-defunct Westpark Golf Club.
Nestled in the back of the neighborhood is Woodlea Hills, a collection of just under 40 homes which are technically another subdivision. Set on larger lots (.88 to 14.53 acres) with bigger floor plans (3300+ square feet), residents here still have access to all of the Woodlea Manor amenities.
What We Love:
Every time we drive through Woodlea, we smile. There’s just something about the tree lined streets and the beautiful homes and yards that feels like home. The community hosts numerous events throughout the year and is home to a neighborhood swim team, the Watermocs, who participate in the Old Dominion Swim League.
