The Scoop:
The Ashburn Farm neighborhood started in 1986, when Cavalier Land Development built the first homes on what was once the Gray Dairy Farm. The result was winding boulevards, mature trees and a suburban feel just minutes from Dulles International Airport. This huge Ashburn community covers more than 1,300 acres. It’s bordered by the Dulles Greenway, Belmont Ridge Road, Ashburn Road, and the W&OD Trail. There are nearly 4,000 homes in the neighborhood, including a mix of single family homes and townhomes.
Community amenities are extensive. There are 19 tot lots, 5 ponds stocked with fish, and 28 miles of bike and exercise trails. Of the 3 outdoor swimming pools, one boasts a reclaimed windmill from the original estate. Outdoor sports enthusiast? You can pick from 12 tennis courts, 8 basketball courts, 2 soccer fields, a baseball field, and a beach volleyball court.
