The Red Cedar neighborhood in Leesburg popped up on the outer edge of town in 2005, with most of the 370 homes constructed by Pulte Homes before the end of 2015. This neighborhood features townhouses and single-family homes, as well as homes on conservancy lots. The Red Cedar neighborhood even has its own version of Central Park. Loudoun Country Day School, a highly regarded Loudoun private school, and Sycolin Creek Elementary School are both adjacent to the neighborhood. Traveling through the Red Cedar neighborhood, outdoor lovers will find Highland Creek Park, perfect for picnics, outdoor sporting activities, or just relaxing in the shade.

The community has a clubhouse, outdoor pool, 2 playground areas, a gazebo, and a fitness center. The neighborhood includes 900 acres of open space, and miles of walking trails, with Sycolin Creek nearby. Just outside the neighborhood, from the entrance on Evergreen Street, and turning onto The Woods Road, all the nature lovers will run into Banshee Reeks Nature Reserve. This nature reserve includes an array of outdoor activities including hiking trails and a catch-and-release fishing pond. The Red Cedar neighborhood is perfect for anyone who loves to be secluded from the bustle of town but still enjoys a warm neighborhood feel.
