About Waterford
The Village of Waterford was founded in 1833 as a Quaker settlement and is now a designated National Historic Landmark. Many of the early structures (and the ambiance of olden days) have been preserved in the town. Each year during the first weekend of October, visitors flock to the area for the Waterford Homes Tour and Crafts Exhibit. The fair includes demonstrations by craftsmen, entertainers, food, and of course the historic homes tour.
Waterford is home to over 1800 residents. Outside of the historic district and older established neighborhoods, there are several newer construction communities that enjoy scenic views.
