Edwards Landing

The Scoop:

Edwards Landing is a neighborhood of 384 single family homes and garage townhomes in Northeast Leesburg, built between 2001 and 2005. While US Homes was the original builder and community planner, Brookfield Homes also built numerous homes in the neighborhood. The townhome portion is all brick front,  two car garage townhomes, with finished square footage running from just under 2,000 square feet to nearly 2,900 square feet. Some models even include a bonus 4th level which can be used as an additional bedroom with full bath, or office/recreational space.

Single family homes were built with a couple of different options; there are smaller homes on quarter acre lots in one section and more spacious homes on 1/3 acre lots in another area. Depending on your preference, some homes have wooded views and three car garages. Community amenities include a newly designed community center that can be rented out, a swimming pool (and swim team), a tennis court, tot lots, and walking trails.

What We Love:

The neighborhood is adjacent to Edwards Landing Park, a 32 acre Leesburg town park with a picnic shelter with tables, nature trails, and Potomac Heritage National Scenic Trail access. It’s also super close to shopping at the Leesburg Outlets, Target, and Costco. Bonus: Sweetz Bakery, which is a favorite of ours, is only a mile away–and they have the most amazing cupcakes. We also love the floorplans of the townhomes in this neighborhood. If you don’t mind climbing stairs, they have some of the most generous townhome floorplans we’ve seen, leaving tons of room to spread out in.
