Heather and I have had the good fortune to build two homes from scratch. Not everyone has had that opportunity, so over the next several months I’m going to detail the process my clients, John & Pam, are going through during the construction of their new Miller & Smith home.
After an extensive search of new construction communities, and a false start at One Loudoun, they decided on Brambleton in early March. The first step was choosing a lot and model, signing the contract, and making the structural selections (elevation, finished basement, bump outs, etc). Then, we had to wait for permits and the builder to get to our spot in line (for Pam & John it was three months). Word came from Miller & Smith two weeks ago they were on deck, and as you can see from the picture above the next lot over has a foundation in place.
Stay tuned each week for new photos and updates, and if you are considering purchasing a new construction home I’d be happy to help. Send an email to Mike@LoCoMusings.com, or give me a call at (571) 233-5495.
Cheers,
Mike
