Leesburg First Friday : Â On the first Friday evening of every month, in partnership with the Loudoun Arts Council and the Town of Leesburg, the shops, restaurant, and theatre downtown stay open from 6 to 9 pm for a wonderful evening out. Over the last few years, this has grown into a huge event, with hundreds of people in attendance and streets closed to accommodate all of the visitors. Check out the Stroll the Streets initiative for where this may be headed!
Loudoun Arts Council : This group tirelessly promotes the arts and artists of Loudoun County. They sponsor tons of programs and events; their website has all the information on these that you could need.
Loudoun Museum : The Loudoun Museum brings the history of Loudoun County to life! The museum is the official repository for Loudoun’s history, and regularly offers new exhibits. They have regular visiting hours on Friday, Saturday. and Sunday each week, plus special events.
Parks and Recreation : Loudoun’s Parks and Rec department has tons of programs for adults, seniors, and youth. The Ida Lee Recreation Center is the hub of their programs; the building is 71,000 square feet with pools, basketball, raquetball, fitness center, and recreation. There is also 370 acres of parkland for hiking and biking.
