CarrHomes Hits a Home-Run with Waterford Creek

We’ve always felt part of the reasoning behind having an estate was to feel secluded. Unfortunately most of the new communities we’ve seen offering 3+ acre lots fall short. Don’t get me wrong, rolling terrain is great for a golf course or a farm but sitting in the middle of a field isn’t my idea of an estate. Thanks to Carr Homes new section at Waterford Creek in Hamilton that has changed. Take a look at this aerial video and you will see what I mean:

Yesterday we visited with Tom West, the community sales manager for Waterford Creek, and took a personal tour of the Oakton model. It’s currently being offered for sale at $974,455 and will be available by April 1st (that’s when the new model home opens around the corner). According to Tom this was not supposed to be the model. The folks who had written the contract on it fell in love with the original sales model and convinced him to make a trade. Take a look at what we found:

My favorite part of this home was the 11 foot beamed ceilings in the family room and kitchen. A close second was the basement, with 9 foot ceilings, a huge theater room, and a fireplace next to full-sized windows overlooking the wooded lot. Thanks to 6412 square feet I got the feeling that even my family of seven would be able to enjoy a little privacy here.

There are 8 wooded lots remaining in this section with plans to open an additional 14 more later this year. Five different models are available and all multiple brick front elevations and at least 4,000 square feet. One of the attractive traits about this builder is the ability to customize the floor plan. If you want to move a wall, add french doors, or create a private space all you have to do is ask.

It’s a given every builder tries to put their best foot forward when it comes to the model. Some do so better than others and from our experience CarrHomes is near the top of the list.
