Remember when I wrote about Creighton Farms, the gated community just outside of Leesburg with the Jack Nicklaus designed golf course? Used to be a Ritz Carlton community? Yes, the one with the concierge service and unbelievable clubhouse under construction…If the $1 million-plus price tag on the homes was enough to scare you off, it might be time to reconsider…
Stanley Martin Homes is going to be building a new section, Huntleigh at Creighton Farms. While Stanley Martin has not yet released pricing and floorplans, the most expensive base price home among their current communities is $779,900 (in Fairfax). The least expensive base price I’ve seen for Creighton to date was $1.1 million. It’s possible that Stanley Martin could be coming up with a luxury level home in the same price point as the rest of Creighton, but the Creighton website says that the Huntleigh homes will be “.. a price point never before seen at Creighton Farms.”
The Huntleigh portion of the community will be located on the opposite side of Watson Road from the rest of the neighborhood, and does not border the golf course. However, residents there will have full access to the Club and its’ amenities, as well as reciprocal access to all of Southworth Development’s clubs and resorts around the world. (Southworth is the developer and the manager for the Club at Creighton Farms.) From the standpoint of what you can get for your money, any homesite in this community that comes in less than the current pricing structure is going to be a tremendous value to homeowners; where else in Loudoun can you build on a one to seven acre lot in a gated community that offers the over the top amenities available here? You can’t!
Stanley Martin’s website has nothing about the new community on it as of today. I’ll share the pricing and floor plan information as soon as I have it; a representative from Stanley Martin told me this morning that information should be released in about a month.
Cheers,
Heather

It’s always nice for new residents when a home builder makes a “less expensive” model, but I’m sure the current residents aren’t too happy with the idea.

Actaully, this is a great and well thought out idea for Creighton Farms. A lower price point from a reputable production bulder makes absolute sense. It is common to have various price points in most large, planned communities and this section is across Watson Road and away from the “Premier-Luxury” section….as a property owner and builder in the Luxury Section, I welcome Stanly Martin and their customers!
Just one thing about the photo though: You can’t get the kitchen in the photo from Stanley Martin!
