Milestone for One Loudoun

There has been so much happening at One Loudoun lately, I thought it was time to put it all together.

New home construction is rocking, as sales passed the 100 mark recently. This Saturday, February 16th, NV Homes will hold their grand opening from 11 am to 5 pm.  As the only townhomes in One Loudoun to date, two of the three models are available for the first time. Meanwhile, Camberley Homes opened a new section on January 26th, continuing to offer six different single family home models.  The Camberley homes feature a Brownstone architectural style, available with a Georgian, Federalist, or French Manor elevation.  Miller & Smith are also building in the community, revealing two Chicago-inspired models with wide open floor plans on the main level, befitting the downtown feel of the community. If you are interested in taking a look at any of the builders, fill out this form and we’ll set up an appointment with you.

On the retail side of things there has been little news. I did hear there are a number of exciting shops and restaurants finalizing leases, so keep your eyes open for updates in the near future. I wrote about the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema, which is currently under construction and planned to open in May. The only other announcement has been The Fresh Market Grocery, scheduled to open this fall. Although new to LoCo, The Fresh Market has stores all across the country. Their concept is similar to old world European markets, focusing on outstanding customer service and a neighborhood grocer feel.

The other hot topic  involves the Ballpark at One Loudoun. The North American Soccer League Virginia team announced their name as the Cavalry FC on February 6th  during a party at the Bungalow Lakehouse in Sterling. In attendance were US Men’s National team members John Harkes and Eddie Pope. Before the Cavalry or the Loudoun Hounds, our minor league baseball team, can play a game, the stadium needs approval. The Loudoun Board of Supervisors will hear arguments for both sides at a hearing on February 19th at 6:00 pm in Leesburg. Those wishing to sign the petition supporting the ball park at One Loudoun can click here.

I plan on stopping by NV Homes’ grand opening on Saturday…I’m anxious to see what these townhomes are going to look like. For those of you that can’t make it, check back on Monday and I’ll have a few pictures up.

Cheers,
Mike
