Proud to Sponsor: the First LoCo Open!

As you may already know, my husband Mike is the PGA head golf professional at Westpark Golf Club in Leesburg. He’s helped host and conduct numerous charity tournaments there over the years, benefitting the Susan G.  Komen Foundation, the Neonatal Intensive Care unit at Inova Fairfax, the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation, and many others. We’ve always wanted to host a tournament of our own to benefit the junior golfers of Loudoun County, and this year we are taking the plunge.

On October 10th and 11th, come out to Westpark for two days of golf, food, and fun for our first annual LoCo Open. I’m proud to be the headline sponsor of the two day event! The money raised from this year’s tournament will go to the Loudoun County High School Raider Golf scholarship for a varsity golfer who has played there for four years.  Next year, we will rotate to support a different high school golf program in Loudoun County.

Here’s our schedule for the event:

Friday Oct. 9th: Practice Rounds

Saturday Oct. 10th:

• Tee times beginning at 7:30 a.m.
• Putting contest running all day
• Closest to the pin and longest drive prizes
• Shootout at 5 p.m. (you qualify by making a par or birdie on the last hole!)
• Happy Hour at Spanky’s Shenanigans from 7 to 8:30 (Sunday tee times will be announced here)

Sunday Oct. 11th:

• Tee times beginning at 7:30 a.m.
• Putting contest running all day
• Closest to the pin and longest drive prizes
• Awards announced after golf

Golfers interested in playing don’t have to have a foursome, you can sign up as an individual and you have your choice of pairings for the Saturday round. Sunday’s tee times will be based on Saturday’s scores, and there will be four flights.
