I typically take the “back way” from Purcellville to Leesburg at least a few times a week, so I noticed right away when they started doing groundworks on a new community on Dry Mill Road. I looked up the land records and could see that the community was set up with 3+ acre lots, meandering through the woods. When I drove through this week, the sign above was up: Toll Brothers is now selling at Shenstone Reserve. While they don’t have a model home or sales trailer (yet) the community is up on their website (although it says it’s in Ashburn) and they are selling it from the Executives at Loudoun Valley model.
The location is unique, right across from the Washington and Old Dominion Trail, near the Loudoun County Fairgrounds not too far from where Route 7 intersects with Route 9. It’s just around the corner from Toll’s Shenstone neighborhood, built between 2001 and 2006. Many of the new lots are wooded, and the community stretches further back into the Loudoun farmland than I expected. There are several lots with slightly higher elevations and beautiful views.
I’m waiting for a call back from Toll Brothers to confirm some details (like if they are going to put a model there, what the build time is, etc) so I’ll update this post when I know more. In the meantime, according to the website, they have five models available:
- Hopewell, starting at $769,995
- Langley, starting at $792,995
- Coventry, starting at $822,995
- Cumberland, starting at $831,995
- Hampton, starting at $852,995
If you are thinking about doing a new construction purchase, please feel free to reach out to me. I’ve personally built two homes with different builders here, as well as helped numerous clients do the same, so I’ve got pretty good experience with it. 😉
More details as soon as I hear more from the builder…
Cheers,
Heather
**update, 2/28/11: I spoke with the builder’s rep. There are 49 total lots, with 12 currently available. They are anticipating build times of 6 to 7 months from date of contract. They expect to start construction on a Hampton model home within the next 30 to 45 days, but will be placing a sales trailer on the property soon, to be used until the model is finished.

Toll Brothers has built some beautiful communities here in Arizona but I’ve never seen them with lot sizes as large as these. It looks like a really nice community. It is interesting to me to look at how different the housing styles they are building there compare to what they build here.
Thanks for sharing. 🙂
