The Upper Loudoun Liberty, the 10 and under All Star team for girls softball in upper Loudoun County, is playing host next month to the Babe Ruth 10U National Invitational Tournament from August 8th through the 12th. The games are slated to be played at Woodgrove Park in Round Hill, and the public is welcome to come and cheer the girls on.
The first games of the day should begin at 8 am, with the last game of the day being played at 6 pm. (This is preliminary, brackets have not been issued yet.) There will be a full concession stand on site, and souvenir t shirts available for purchase.
The proceeds from the tournament will help fund needed improvements at the field, including adding lights and a press box/concession stand with bathrooms. Local volunteers are needed to help out, please email me at heather@locomusings.com if you would be willing to come lend a hand for a couple of hours. (The girls would really appreciate it!)
As I learn more about which teams will be attending, and once we have brackets, I’ll post more information here
If you have a daughter that might be interested in playing softball in upper Loudoun, registration for the fall season is now available online at the league’s website.
Hope to see you at the games!
Cheers,
Heather
(softball mom)
