Here are a few things to remember when you are buying new construction:
- Choose your structural upgrades carefully, adding a bump out or walk-up will be worth more in the long runversus upgrading the carpet or tile in the bathrooms.
- Make sure you know how your new home is going to be placed on the lot. You don’t want to pay for a nice window that overlooks your neighbor’s driveway.
- You won’t get a better deal by going unrepresented. Heather wrote about this a while ago, and it’s worth a look again.
