Because this little corner of the web has much to offer in the way of Loudoun photographs and thoughts on living here, I often hear from folks who are considering a move. Last week, I spoke with a couple that are thinking about Purcellville and western Loudoun for their next abode; they would be moving from Maryland. With a free Saturday to come and roam about the towns, they wanted to know what they should look for. What are the high points? The cool spots? The things that we love about living here?
I made a few (probably obvious to those that live here) suggestions:
- Franklin Park Pool, Sports Complex, and Performing Arts Center in Purcellville
- Fireman’s Field and the Purcellville Skating Rink (aka Bush Tabernacle)
- Gruto’s Ice Cream and ‘downtown’ Purcellville
- The W&OD Trail
- The towns of Waterford, Lincoln, and Hamilton. True small town feel, beautiful history
I know that my ‘living in LoCo’ experience is different from yours, which is different from your neighbor’s. What would you add to the list? What are your favorite things to do in Loudoun? What makes you love living here?
