Another builder has re-opened a community in Loudoun County. Brookfield Homes is offering a choice of eight lots at Goose Creek Bend in Leesburg. Actually, they are reopening what was a Kettler Brothers community. I can’t tell if Kettler is still holding any of the lots there, but Brookfield’s site shows availability on the remainder of lots on Eckbo Drive, and two lots on Creek Bend as well. The community is hardly finished at all from what I saw of the original site plans; it’s located off Sycolin Road (via Gulick Mill Road) and is about as close to Ashburn as you can get, and still have a Leesburg mailing address.
Brookfield is offering a choice of five floor plans ranging in base price from $599,990 to $709,990, on one acre lots. As of right now there are no immediately available homes. Keep in mind if you want to drive out to visit the site, Sycolin Road is closed from Gulick Mill Road to Belmont Ridge Road until September, so come from the Leesburg side of Sycolin.
I’ll update this post after I speak with the sales center, to see how many lots they will eventually open, and to see what their estimated buildout time is from from start to finish. Nice to see that Lennar isn’t the only builder showing confidence in our local market. Feel free to email me or leave a comment if you’d like more information, or have questions you’d like me to ask the builder representatives.
(The picture was taken at Goose Creek Bend back in January 2008, when I saw no less than 20 deer roaming through the woods and empty lots. Definitely a secluded neighborhood!)
Cheers,
Heather
