UPDATE: May 14, 2020… Brookfield Homes has released pricing and models! Read more here.
When we moved into the Village Case neighborhood in Purcellville in 2004, we were the 5th or 6th completed home in the front section. Behind us was wide open farmland and roughed in streets; Michael even used it as his own personal golf driving range until the homes started sprouting up. After the 2nd wave of new construction ended, most of the back of the neighborhood was dotted with lovely homes, although the space that was originally planned as a commercial/retail center, right in the middle, remained unfinished like a missing front tooth.
This month, traffic cones went up to block entrance to the area. It’s finally happening–Village Case is going to be *finished* with the extension of Pipers Brook Drive and the construction of 7 single family homes. Simultaneously, the church site that was never developed at the back of the neighborhood has been reimagined as a cul-de-sac of 17 single family homes. Jason Brownell of Charcol, LLC worked with the Village Case Homeowners Association as details were worked out to finish off the last development project that was started by his late father, Bruce Brownell.
The cul-de-sac on the church site will be named Stephan Mace Court to honor Loudoun’s own U.S. Army Spc. Stephan Mace, killed in the line of duty in Afghanistan in 2009. The town of Purcellville contributed $5,000 toward the Gold Star Memorial that will be located in the center of the cul-de-sac.
Once Brownell finishes the site development –roads, curbs, gutters, utilities, groundworks, and preliminary landscaping– Brookfield Homes will step in to construct and sell the homes. Details like available models and pricing have yet to be released (stay tuned) but plans for the Pipers Brook Drive portion include single story patio homes on one side of the street and two story on the other, with a cul-de-sac near the soccer field. The four two story homes on Pipers Brook Drive will have front loading garages.
And one of the first priorities for Brownell is getting landscaping in place to provide a functional and visually attractive buffer between the new home sites and the existing homes that border it. Expectations are for those trees and shrubs to go in shortly.
We’ll provide an update as more details on homesites, styles, and prices become available. Want to be our neighbor? Let us know.😊
Cheers,
Heather and Mike
